Navigating our Path

I believe all magic is within our selves, and changing our inner self changes our outer world. I believe that we all have the freedom to choose our own path, whether that be the left hand path, right hand path, middle path, or a path completely of our own creation.

Magic has been around for a very long time, and certain cultures have developed roadmaps to assist people with their journey. An example of a roadmap is the chakra system, which is basically teaching you a new language. For example, what certain colours mean, what certain symbols mean, which emotions or states of being are the easiest ones to assist us is accessing different aspects of our selves. There are many of these roadmaps, and I believe that they are simply that. Maps. A map of London is not London, it is merely a map, a diagram to assist one to navigate the physical space of London. And we can use spiritual roadmaps similarly, to assist us in reaching a desired space within ourselves. We retain the freedom to update these maps, and alter them, and to choose a different path than the recommended one.

We don't actually need roadmaps. I can simply close my eyes and explore my inner self, making the changes I need to make, and crafting my internal and external universes into harmonious environments.

All content is my personal opinion. If I write in the definitive, it is purely for ease of writing, and is not intended as an absolute statement.

Greetings

I'd like to use this blog both as a record of my thoughts, and a vehicle to discuss them with others.

The topic of this blog is magick. I know that some of you believe that spelling it with a 'k' is dicky and somewhat pretentious, but it's mainly to distinguish it from the equally dicky practice of pulling befuddled bunnies out of hats.

So, this blog's intention is the discussion of the art and/or practice of causing change to occur in one's internal or external world without direct physical intervention. This definition may be updated at a later date when I have the time and motivation to do so.

Let me state that I do not believe that any form of ritual or tools are necessary in able to do magick. They may assist one in obtaining the appropriate frame of mind, but imo are unnecessary.

I look forward to reading any thoughts and comments that you may have, and encourage open discussion on anything I post.
